In order to see the whole of the USA: I have elected to visit the capital of each state. The capital of each state is taken to embody and typify that state – hence its capital status. This will be done alphabetically by city.
The journey itself will take start in New York – the popular, and significant, customary entry point of persons into the USA. By coincidence the state capital of New York is Albany – the first state on the alphabetical list.
The complete journey will be via the cities of: Albany, Annapolis, Atlanta, Augusta, Austin, Baton Rouge, Bismarck, Boise, Boston, Carson City, Charleston, Cheyenne, Columbia, Columbus, Concord, Denver, Des Moines, Dover, Frankfort, Harrisburg, Hartford, Helena, Honolulu, Indianapolis, Jackson, Jefferson City, Juneau, Lansing, Lincoln, Little Rock, Madison, Montgomery, Montpelier, Nashville, Oklahoma City, Olympia, Phoenix, Pierre, Providence, Raleigh, Richmond, Sacramento, Salem, Salt Lake City, Santa Fe, Springfield, St. Paul, Tallahassee, Topeka, Trenton.
The [US] Department of State will only allow visitors to the US to stay a maximum of 90 days under the Visa Waiver Program; but I feel this is ample time to witness and comprehend the whole of the United States of America.
The Journey will arbitrarily commence at midnight on 1st January (of the next year), and last no longer than 90 days; 30 days proposed as criterion. The extract duration of the journey can only be speculated, until flights are booked and transfer times calculated. Dependency on flight availability and local weather conditions are also factors.
